To bring in the new year I decided to start it all out with a few fresh ideas. One of those ideas was WordPress Wednesday. I decided that I wanted create a series of videos dedicated to the usage of WordPress.
Let me take a step back with a little back story; When I first started looking into WordPress, I was completely lost. I didn’t know where to start, and most of the documentation I found was rather low level. Without having at least some sort of a foundation of what WordPress was, I was completely lost as to how to use it. I had seen websites that used WordPress as their backend, so I was intrigued and interested to give it a try; I just didn’t know where to start. That led me down the path of watching tutorials, reading blogs, How-To guides, etc. The problem was everything I searched for was spread all over the place, and the basics were as hard or easy to find as the complex stuff.
With the introduction of WordPress Wednesday, I hope to help others who may be interested in building their first WordPress website. My primary goal is to give them the foundation needed to succeed. I want to break down the more daunting portions of WordPress so to make the software easier to understand at its most basic levels and then build on that with some of the more complex items.
Welcome to the journey, both of this website, on the WordPress Wednesday site, and in all of the videos I create.
